The Tater Tot Hot Dish Saga

Dear Family and Friends,

This was a great week! We have been teaching a lot and have been able to meet lots of people from all walks of life!

We found a new investigator this week named Rosalind. She is an older Native American woman in a wheelchair. She has such a strong relationship with Christ and is very humble and full of gratitude. We taught her the Plan of Salvation in our first meeting and she knows it is true. We invited her to be baptized on June 20 in the same meeting and she accepted. The whole time we were there she had tears streaming down her cheeks and she told us, "I know you were sent to me for a reason. I'm so happy you're here." I'm so excited to see Rosalind progress in the gospel.

We also had a break through with John. He is in a low spot and doesn't know if there is a God. When we first met with him he said he was looking for peace. He expressed to us how he doesn't really feel anything when he prays and he doesn't know if there is any hope for him. As we read from the scriptures and talked about prayer and the Holy Ghost the expression on his face changed. We asked him what he was feeling and he said, "I feel hope." The Holy Ghost Pricked his heart and he felt hope! I was so grateful to be able to witness him feel the Holy Ghost for the first time.

We also have been meeting with a couple named Greg and Kylie for a while and they had invited us over for dinner and a lesson. Well, they were making tater tot hot dish (Hot dish is North Dakotan for Casserole) and I have come so close multiple times to having this infamous tater tot hot dish since I've been out on the mission, but something always comes up and it doesn't work out....well, this time was no different. They got a call that something was wrong at Kylie's Father's farm and had to cut our meeting short. The hot dish wasn't finished yet. However, I am determined to eat it before I come home and when I do ya'll will be the first to hear about it!

I love you all so much and I want you to know how much power there is in the scriptures. As you feast upon them daily you will be protected from the deceptions and temptations of the adversary and come closer to your Heavenly Father. I know He answers our prayers through the scriptures. Open yourself up to revelation as you open up the scriptures. I love you!

Love,
Sister Williams

    Love you, Sister Parker
I have tried so many times in the past to make comments to you, but none of them worked. Hopefully, this one will work!
