John 15:11

 Dear Family and Friends,

This was such an amazing week full of great things! First of all we had Zone Conference down in Bismarck which was fun. It is always great to see other missionaries and the trainings we received were inspired. I'm excited to apply them in our area. While in Bismarck I was able to go to the Temple and take a family name through an Endowment session. It was so great to be in the Temple! As soon as I crossed the threshold of the Temple, peace entered my heart and I felt at home. The Temple is such a sacred place to me and I feel very close to my Heavenly Father, my Savior Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost when I am there.

We have had some great lessons with our investigators this week and one of them was with Rosalind. She is an older woman who is in a nursing home because she broke her leg and I love her. She has been hesitant to pray in front of us since we started meeting and so we shared 2 Nephi 32:8-9 with her:

And now, my beloved brethren, I perceive that ye ponder still in your hearts; and it grieveth me that I must speak concerning this thing. For if ye would hearken unto the Spirit which teacheth a man to pray, ye would know that ye must pray; for the evil spirit teacheth not a man to pray, but teacheth him that he must not pray.
But behold, I say unto you that ye must pray always, and not faint; that ye must not perform any thing unto the Lord save in the first place ye shall pray unto the Father in the name of Christ, that he will consecrate thy performance unto thee, that thy performance may be for the welfare of thy soul.

After we read this we asked her to pray and she was hesitant but willing and she offered one of the sweetest most sincere prayers. One of my favorite parts of being a missionary is listening to investigators pray. When they are able to open the windows of revelation for themselves and start strengthening their relationship with our Heavenly Father it is one of my favorite moments.

I love you all so much and hope you have a fantastic week!

Love,
